
β-GLUCANASE FOR FEED
DESCRIPTION
The B-glucanase breaks down β-glucan and hydrolyzes (1,3)-and (1,4)-linkages in β-D-glucan in wheat and barley. β-Glucanase is mainly produced by plants and microbes and can be used to counter anti-nutritional effects of β-glucan in animal feeds (especially those containing barley) and lower digesta viscosity.
